Sarina’s mission statement

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Sarina Gupta and I am a rising sophomore at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Throughout my childhood, I was fortunate enough to travel around the world with my parents and engage in various medical camps with them.

These experiences have opened my eyes and exposed me to the lack of health care options for many people in so many parts of the world. For the first time in my life I want to explore these medical issues on my own in order to learn from a different angle. SaDilKa allows me to bring to fruition a harmonious blend of my passions: travel, charity work, and medicine. Furthermore, going to a 3rd world country enables me to get hands on experience and have a direct impact on the health and livelihood of those who have less than I do. At my level, it is very difficult to get such an experience in a first-world country. I would also like to inspire my peers and colleagues to join me in my missions so that the spirit of volunteer work can be promulgated.

This blog is my way of sharing this journey with you. For my first trip I am off to? Africa so keep reading so you can experience this wonderful journey with me.
